# Privacy

Short version: this is a static personal site. There are no accounts, no tracking pixels, no analytics, and no advertising.

## What this site collects

Nothing that identifies you. This site is a static build with no user accounts, no login, no comment system, no newsletter signup, and no forms that submit data anywhere. It sets no first-party cookies and runs no analytics, tracking, advertising, or session-replay scripts. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The web server produces ordinary access logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent, and referrer — which is the standard record any web server keeps in order to serve traffic and diagnose faults. These logs live on infrastructure I operate personally, are used only for operating and debugging the site, are never sold or shared, and are rotated on a routine schedule.

## Third parties

Cloudflare sits in front of this site as a CDN and reverse proxy, so Cloudflare processes request metadata as part of delivering pages and mitigating abuse. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Pages load web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Some pages embed live previews of other sites I host, and the night side of this site can load media from platforms such as Twitch, SoundCloud, Spotify, and YouTube. When embedded content loads, that platform sees the request and may apply its own cookies and policies. I do not receive any identifying information from those embeds.

## Email

If you email rene@reneramirez.me, I keep that message in order to reply and to maintain a record of the conversation, which is the ordinary handling of correspondence. I do not add correspondents to any mailing list, and there is no mailing list to add anyone to. If you would like our correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it.

## Automated agents and crawlers

Crawling and indexing this site is permitted, subject to /robots.txt. Machine-readable summaries are published at /llms.txt and /sitemap.xml, and every page is available as Markdown by sending an Accept: text/markdown request header. Using those is cheaper for you and gentler on this server than scraping rendered HTML.

## Changes and contact

This policy applies to https://reneramirez.dev and the pages served from it, and does not cover the separate sites and platforms linked from here. If this policy changes materially, the revision date below changes with it. Questions about privacy, or a request to remove correspondence, go to rene@reneramirez.me.
